About Barbara Campbell-Brooks
"My initial certification is as a Shiatsu Practitioner. I have been actively practicing since 1997 and am a graduate of one of the top programs in the east coast in this specialized practice. Since that time, I have acquired many certifications and skills in diverse modalities, mostly holistic in nature, which I bring to my table as an Integrated Therapies Bodyworker/Practitioner.
In this capacity, I see myself as one who provides a safe and nurturing environment for introspection and self expression as we together explore aspects of your mind/spirit connection to the physical; how you FEEL in your body at any given moment in time and how this relates to the quality of your daily living. My roadmap in treatment is your body for it knows what it needs. Your body speaks to you in many ways. Sometimes, it expresses itself in dance; laughter and play. Often, however, our body screams loudly to us in its discomfort; physical pain, stress related symptoms, headaches, dis-ease. When our body is loud in this way, it is really trying to get our attention! And it does.
When we meet in a treatment session, our energies come together in a dance for health, happiness and understanding. As practitioner, my job is to listen to the rhythms of your body. Intuitively, my hands are guided to the areas that need relaxing or some care; areas perhaps caught in a holding pattern, not knowing how to break the cycle of stasis or pain. Through your instruction as your bodymindspirit communicates its needs, surrendering occurs and true healing begins as you breathe and take control of your journey to health. My certifications and integrated therapies act as a means of getting you to a starting point. YOU do the REAL WORK as you open the door to a way of thinking and believing that allows you to soar and attain balance, clarity and wellness."
Barbara's expertise and training includes internal organ massage techniques, Maternity Massage, trigger point therapies, energy/chakra balancing through Reiki and chelation and other muscle therapy practices. Barbara is also an ordained, inter-faith minister and practices the Circle of Grace as taught and received by Edna Frankel.
As a minister, she performs weddings, renewal ceremonies, baby blessings, naming ceremonies, time passages rituals for honoring personal transitions, letting go ceremonies, departing celebratory services and more.
As Reiki/Gendai/Ryoho Master she teaches Reiki I, II certification classes. The Mastership program is a 6 month intensive meeting once a month. It includes some Shamanic studies, chakra balancing, intuitive seeing, pendulum chakra work and much more. As teacher she offers workshops at Essential Wellness Center of Paoli and Soulful Connections on Bereavement and Conscious Dying, Conscious Conception, Crystal Magic Training Workshops and more. Life's Work
"As my practice grows, I find myself expanding; growing in my desire to be of assistance to those who are seriously health challenged or experiencing the beginning stages of the 'letting go' that comes at the end of our physical lives. It is my deep desire to offer a guiding hand through these often difficult, transformational times, offering care and healing touch as needed. It is also my hope to be of assistance to the loved ones of those nearing transition, helping them in the 'letting go' process as well. "
